Charter

Provide a forum for maintaining the viability of the method for both modelers and tool developers

Process

Assess method issues as raised by the community in an open forum and make decisions to resolve them.

Decision Authority

Authority to make final decisions on the maintenance of the method is entrusted to a small OOA Council made up of recognized contributors to the method.

OOA Metamodel Group

Charter

Support the development and visibility of a formal reference for Shlaer-Mellor OOA.

Goals

  • Define necessary terms, vocabulary and rules

  • Develop a uniform conceptual model of OOA

  • Clearly distinguish the domains of models, representation and translation

  • Provide a foundation for interchangeable and interoperative tool sets for modeling, representation and translation.
